Administrative Officer (Grade 2) – CLAO Aberdeen
Full time; fixed term (nine months)

Reporting to the Network and Systems Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations within our business support function. Responsibilities include managing reception, handling calls, operating our case management system, and processing documents. With opportunities for growth and development, you’ll also assist with various office tasks and support our network coordination efforts.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Reception and call handling
- Using the case management system
- Processing case documents including downloading, photocopying and scanning
- Maintaining files and filing systems
- Dealing with all incoming and outgoing mail through various communication methods
- Assisting the Network and Systems Coordinator with delegated tasks
- Providing occasional typing assistance
- Other general office and administrative tasks as required
- Carrying out all the above tasks for other offices in the Client Legal Services directorate when required.
Essential Criteria
- Reception and telephone skills
- Good communication skills
- Proven personal computer experience
- Knowledge of filing and diary systems
- Ability to work alone with minimum supervision.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience of accessing and updating databases and/or case management systems
- Speed and accuracy in typing
- Experience of civil/criminal law practice administration
- Experience of customer service.
